I'm really concerned about this cost of living crisis. The challenges facing our NHS. The lack of doctors and nurses. Police on the beat. Children going hungry at school. It's simply unacceptable. Hi, I'm Helen Maguire, a mum of three former captain in the Roman police, and I'm standing as a prospective parliamentary candidate for the Liberal Democrats in Epsom and Ewell. I want to help make Epsom and Ewell a better place for you and your families.


So I'm taking the fight to the Tories because to them, your voice simply doesn't matter anymore. But I'm listening. Your voice matters to me. It's time for change. So 11 years ago, I moved to Surrey with my husband and three children and Epsom and Ewell became such an important part of our lives. I've been running for Epsom and Ewell Harriers Athletic Club for the past ten years, and it was the kindness and friendliness of people here that made me feel safe at home.


I now run my own charity fundraising consultancy, so I see first hand the challenges facing society and I simply can't sit by and watch anymore. So I'm taking on this challenge to be your next MP because we need a country that works better, more sustainably with long term strategic thinking so that we can simply get on with our lives knowing that governments, that's our best interests at heart, our children's future and our economy has been trashed by this Tory government.

And as a result of leaving EU investments in our communities, has disappeared as well. And climate change doesn't seem to be a priority either. Yet climate change represents opportunities as well as challenges for our society and we need to grasp these opportunities so that we can help grow our economy and provide better paid jobs to help support our public services.

This government doesn't represent me, and I reckon they probably don't represent you either. And we need to change this to focus on the things that really matter, like a well-funded NHS and social care system, better investments in education, affordable housing, investments in our communities, and a focus on climate change. I'm fighting for a fairer society for all, not for the few like the Tories, but for everyone.

We all deserve better. It's time we demand better. So let us choose better. Join me, Maguire, in taking on this challenge. It's time for a change. It's the new days. As an MP who champions and serves you.
