Celebrating Women MPs - aiming for equal representation

On Thursday, 29th June 2023, an historic event took place at the Terrace Pavilion in the House of Commons which I was delighted to be able to attend..

The event, titled “#CelebratingWomenMPs”, aimed to bring together women from different political parties, transcending partisan boundaries, to celebrate the collective achievements of women Members of Parliament (MPs).

With a focus on the common goal of equal representation for women, the event sought to foster a positive and empowering atmosphere.

As we shared our experiences of inspirational women in politics there was a moment of recognition for how each is leading the way for others to follow, standing on the shoulders of the strong, passionate and dedicated women that have gone before us.
